FOOTBALL: Africa Must Improve Coaching Quality

In recent years, a lot has been said about the need for African football coaches to improve their knowledge and further equip themselves with leadership and tutorial qualities of the beautiful game.

Many football pundits have as a matter attributed Africa’s low success rate in intercontinental competitions to a lack of adequate coaching skills of local coaches who nurture the continent grassroots talents from craddle

It is against the backdrop of these that a United kingdom based Sports Management Company, DG Sports management has put together a virtual training targeted at helping African coaches improve their coaching technique and experience.

The virtual training titled “Improve Your Coaching”- would be hosted by three UK based licensed coaches and a moderator who will be drawing out insight from the coaches via a Question and answer session.

Some of the questions to be answered during the virtual training include; What is the future of African soccer and are we producing for Europe or are we producing for Africa?; What aspect of grassroot coaching do you think we can improve on in Africa?; Do we need European or foreign coaching badges to coach in Africa if so why? and many more

Speaking about the event on Plus TV Africa, CEO DG Sports Management, Jide D’ Great Ladipo noted that was high time Africa must improve the quality of local coaches to help the develop the game on the continent

The training to be held via zoom is scheduled for 6pm GMT on Friday 24 July,

It is absolutely free of any charge however, interested participants are required to register ahead.
