Many Nigerians on social media have attacked controversial prophet, T.B Joshua, over claims that he was on the mountain praying against coronavirus.
The General-Overseer of Synagogue Church of All Nations posted some pictures on twitter earlie in the week to back-up this claim and this has generated a negative debate.
T.B. Joshua further disclosed he is fighting the ravaging Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) with a four day session at an undisclosed “prayer mountain” to “present the nations” to God in prayer, adding that stating he will not relent until the virus ends
In one of the reactions seen on Facebook, seasoned journalist, Charles kehinde Alasholuyi wrote “After ‘god’ told TB Joshua that COVID-19 will end on the 27th of March but failed. He has now gone into the bush praying. Whereas in Matthew 6:5-6 God said, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others”
One of the comments from Adebowale Adebimpe Abosede read “which prayer is he even praying? someone that I learnt he said the Holy Spirit mislead him what a confused man”
Another user Yisa Adeleke Nasir commented “Let him show us what’s capable of doing, false prophet of himself and his people and not of God.
Fola Adekeye also wrote “He should have done this without cameras. Many Christians are praying without cameras on the mountains
It is not the first time TB Joshua would be involved in such controversy this year. Earlier in March, T.B Joshua claimed that coronavirus would end on the 27th of March, however, this did not happen.
