Qhemmy Releases COVID-19 Song

Gospel singer, Oluwakemi Onasanya, popularly known as Qhemmy, has released a song seeking God’s Mercy on humanity during the coronavirus pandemic, which has killed hundreds of thousands around the world and forced governments to lockdown countries and economies.

The song titled “Doors of Mercy” is an indigenous church hymn with a contemporary flavour and technical improvisations that cover its chorus and stanzas.

In a brief chat with seunawosika.com, Qhemmy explained that “It is a prayer hymn we usually sing before prayer when I was young, and it works. I usually feel that peace whenever I’m troubled and sing this particular song”

She continued “So in the midst of this chaos, I can’t help but cry to God to heal us globally and I don’t want to sing it alone this time; I want the whole world to sing along as we all cry to God to have meccy on us and stop this COVID-19 pandemic”

The beautiful singer further noted that “it is only the mercy of God that can sustain us in whatever negative situation we find ourselves”

Qhemmy also emphasized that we all need God’s mercy in many other areas of our lives, not just because this pandemic alone.

The 4:21secs track is already airing on radio stations across Nigeria.
