COVID-19: Trump Suspends Campaign Schedule

US President Donald Trump has cancelled upcoming appearances on the campaign trail ahead of the November elections after testing positive for COVID-19

Trump announced on Friday that he and his wife Melania, had contracted the virus which has killed more 210,000 in the US, and would quarantine inside the White House during his recovery, 

White House doctors say Trump is well and would continue his presidential “duties without disruption”. 

The two were tested after a close White House aide Hope Hicks had tested positive earlier in the day.

Hicks was on board Air Force One with the president on Tuesday. as he traveled to Cleveland, Ohio for the first presidential debate with his rival, Democrat Joe Biden
