Barely a week after the kidnap of dozens of school boys in Niger state, bandits have attacked another school in Nigerian northern region
On Friday morning, hundreds of students were taken from the Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe in Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State, by unidentified gunmen.
Reports say the bandits stormed the Zamfara school, located on the outskirt Kwanar Bagare, around 1:40am after breaking the gate.
There are conflicting reports as to the number of schoolgirls that had been abducted in the attack. While eyewitnesses put the figure at 300, school sources claim about 500 School girls had been kidnapped.
